Troopers responded to the southbound side of the parkway at around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, a state police spokesperson said.
Investigators said a Honda Accord and Honda Civic crashed head-on near milepost 102.8. A Volkswagen Jetta hit the back of the Civic, causing the Honda to catch fire.
The Honda Civic driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver wasn't identified as of press time.
A 23-year-old Brick Township man who drove the Honda Accord suffered serious injuries. The Volkswagen driver had minor injuries.
The crash remained under investigation.
